*Check the Jescar site for more options and descriptions of the alloys and shapes.

Standard Nickel: The standard alloy is slightly harder than vintage nickel wire and plays smooth and sounds fantastic.

EVO (gold colored alloy): EVO basically plays like stainless, wears like stainless and sounds like nickel. It is our favorite but will not look right on all guitars due to the gold color. $65 upcharge for the higher costs.

Stainless: Stainless frets are super smooth and don't wear out. It has legions of folks who won't go back to nickel fret wire after experiencing the feel and playability. Stainless fret jobs require a full dress and plek service (which levels the frets to 1/1000 mm accuracy). There is an upcharge of $275 for this and you will need to send the body/guitar to us. The good news is that it comes back fully dressed, setup and ready to shred!

Fret Level, Dress and Setup Service: $150 (for Standard and EVO). You will need to send us the body, hardware and a case to ship the completed guitar back. What you get: First, we custom fit the neck in the woodworking stage to your heel block to ensure a perfectly snug fit - critical for good tone and reliability on the road. Next, we finish your neck (or not). After that, tuners are installed, nut is cut, frets leveled, crowned, dressed, polished & fingerboards are rolled, vintage-ized, etc. according to your requirements. Intonation and action are set and your guitar returns to you ready for battle. Most people choose this and are generally our happiest customers.

We also offer a Plek service for an additional $100 ($250 for the complete Level, Dress and Setup Service).
